Current and former park board members, council members, family and friends soaked up the sun at Saturday's Jim Peterson Athletic Complex dedication.
The 22.4-acre park at 12302 Cloud Drive features four tennis courts, two regulation soccer and football fields, two baseball fields and a basketball court.
Peterson worked for the city for 34 years. His final 23 years of employment included work as Blaine's parks and recreation director. Peterson retired in 2007.
